Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the first water purification technology in the world. It involves the passage of water from a section containing lower concentration of ionic substances to a higher concentration section while a semi-permeable membrane separates the two. Sufficient pressure is applied to force water through the membrane in a reverse direction. As a result, pure water is produced by screening out dissolved salts and other containments. It can improve the color, taste and other properties of feed water. |
